It’s Valorant exploit review time! While there have been little oddities and broken elements from the start, the last couple of weeks have seen two Valorant bugs that clearly win the prize for the most ridiculous. In case you missed them, I am, of course, talking about the Reyna exploit on Haven and the Noclip bind (both of which are now patched).
These led to the temporary removal of Haven and a few hours of completely unplayable matches while the devs scrambled for a quick fix. It’s still early days for the game so we expect to see a few of these emerge over the coming weeks, but even so, these are pretty ridiculous!
The most amusing has got to be the Reyna exploit on Haven where the player can quite literally plant the spike under the platform… and, well, there’s just no answer to that.
This led to Haven being removed from the competitive pool as a frenetic night of work ensued for the devs. Rather impressively, they managed to get it fixed in no time at all, so you won’t have a chance to experience the sadistic pleasure/torture if you haven’t already.
Hey everyone, there was an exploit on Haven that we're going to fix as soon as we can. For now we're taking it out of competitive mode. https://t.co/QdFfwhXll7

But first place clearly goes to the noclip bug that let you use your noclip keybinding to fly around the map. Hmm, talk about game-breaking…
The bug was fixed within a few hours, but it led to complete chaos. The only comparison I can think of is when someone at Valve decided it would be a good idea to introduce the R8 revolver to CS, a pistol that was a one-shot kill to the chest. Gone was armour, economy or any sense of team play: buy the R8 and rush the site. But despite the absurdity of the no-clip, for me the R8 still takes the price for the dumbest move ever. At least the Valorant issues are a bug and they were fixed damn fast. The R8 had to go through that whole deign and development phase, then get approved by who knows how many people… God, I’m glad I’m done with CS. Ok, rant over…
