With the 1.01 patch notes also comes a new skin collection release, the Sovereign collection. Currently available to purchase in the store for 7100 VP, the collection currently includes a knife, the Ghost sidearm, and Stinger, Guardian and Marshal rifles. Also included are the sovereign buddy, card and spray. Each of the guns also comes with 3 variants and the knife includes a special VFX to unlock. But enough talk, lets get into the details.
Soveriegn Melee
The Sovereign Melee costs 3,550 VP on its own, which is exactly half the price of the whole collection. Given this price it really doesn’t make sense to buy it on its own, unless you really love the knife and really don’t want any of the other skins or items in the collection.
The Sovereign knife also comes with a cool VFX that you can unlock for 10 Radiante points at lvl2, which is probably the best aspect of this collection. The base skins are a little underwhelming, but some of the variants are pretty interesting if you like the style. With that said, it’s not exactly cheap…
Sovereign Ghost Skin
Next up, we have the Sovereign Ghost skin, that comes in at 1,775 VP to purchase on its own and has three variants to unlock: gold, purple and silver.
Sovereign Stinger Skin
The Sovereign Stinger skin costs 1,775 VP to purchase and also comes with three variants to unlock: gold, purple and silver. I’m a fan of the purple and silver variants here though I’ve noticed a little problem here. Have you seen it?
The gun don’t shoot! Take a look at this muzzle. It’s compressed down to a point making it deadly only for the fella shooting it…. Oops.
Sovereign Guardian Skin
Another somewhat questionable muzzle break (though not nearly as bad as the stinger), the Sovereign Guardian comes in at the same price of 1,775 and has the same variants as the other guns.
The silver and purple Guardians are probably my favourite guns in this collection. There’s also an unlockable finisher.
Sovereign Guardian Skin
The Sovereign Marshal is an interesting skin with something of a musket feel to it. Another nice skin set, like the others it also costs 1,775 VP.
Other Sovereign items and what we think of the collection
Last up we have the buddy, card and spray, that also come along with the full set, though they can also be purchased individually.
Now, let’s get on to what we think of thesee skins. Ultimately, the skins you prefer are a matter of taste, and there are a couple of very nice skins here.
Personally though, I think there are better sets out there and the muzzle break on the Stinger is just a joke, so if you like a particular skin, I’d just get that one. Aesthetically, this set is a B- but the weird muzzle on the stinger drops it overall to a C+. But again, this is down to personal taste. If you like it, get it and enjoy it!
